Lionel shortened the body, rebuilt the roof with new tarpaper, a wood roof walk and a brass headlight platform. The spot-light swivels a little but doesn't light up, it is about 1 1/16 inch (27 mm) above rail top. The plow blade is based on actual prototypes but does not represent any one in particular. The car is painted D&RGW yellow with a black blade showing both bare metal spots and rust spots. The back railing, underframe, trucks and wheels are grimy black with touches of rust.
