Freudenreich's 24' GBW Hopper. There were only about 100 of these cars originally made for the Lake Superior and Ishpheming R.R., for use as ore cars. It was found that the sloppy ore froze too quickly in them, and LS&I sold most of them to the Green Bay & Western R.R. for use as pellet cars. The GB&W painted them a luscious orangy color and long consists of them were pulled behind even modern diesels.
